A symbol of this commitment is our membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
The Scheme provides accreditation and encouragement for tourism businesses to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. By encouraging sustainable practices the scheme ensures the continued enjoyment of the environment around us for future generations.

Some of the main steps we have taken to reduce our impact are:
1. Replacing individual complimentary shampoo and bath oil bottles with larger pump action
dispensers filled with environmental friendly products, also offer fairtrade tea and coffee.
2. Installing an in-house laundry system using low energy powders and line drying towels.
3. Repairs and Building works using recycled wood, tiles and stone when possible, and
employing local building firms, suppliers and tradesmen.
4. Sourcing locally produced and sustainable supplies of meat fish fruit and vegetables,
whilst continuing our staff training of environmental awareness, reducing waste of food, energy supplies, water and cleaning products.
5. Supporting the invaluable work of the RSPB at Titchwell Marsh and along the coast.
Promoting healthy eating and exercise with the children of Brancaster School.

We offer our premises for aspiring local artists to exhibit and sell their work, and try
to offer employment in the local community whenever possible.
