On Our Doorstep

Titchwell, North Norfolk

Nestled between the salt marshes and the sea, Titchwell Manor is perfectly placed to explore one of Norfolk’s most captivating stretches of coastline. From vast sandy beaches and nature reserves to picturesque villages and historic estates, there’s something to discover in every season. Spend the day exploring at your own pace, then return for exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality and a peaceful night’s stay.

RSPB Titchwell

In our very own village we’re lucky to be home to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, one of Norfolk’s best-known nature reserves. Wooden boardwalks lead through salt marsh, lagoons, and reedbeds where birdlife gathers throughout the year. From wading birds to wintering flocks and passing migrants, there’s always something to spot along the way.

Holme Bird Observatory

Right on the edge of the Wash, Holme Bird Observatory has long been a favourite for birdwatchers. The surrounding dunes, marshes, and fields attract a remarkable variety of species. Whether you’re an experienced twitcher or simply enjoy the quiet rhythm of the coast, it’s a lovely spot to spend a few hours.

Wild Ken Hill

Wild Ken Hill is a remarkable stretch of landscape where woodland, salt marsh, and farmland meet the sea. Known for its rewilding project, the estate is home to roaming cattle, wildlife, and open habitats that are slowly returning to nature. Guided safaris and seasonal walks offer a chance to explore the area.
